I don't know much about the E30, so I'm asking on behalf of a friend who just got an E30 with 4 lug hubs. He has access to an E36 donor car for parts, so we'd like to hear if E36 suspension, seats, wheels, etc. can be retrofitted to his E30.
Any insights or suggestions would be much appreciated.
Nothing transfers without parts, know how, and work.

The Z3M rear sub frames are so hard to find because the E30 guys use them to convert to mid-case and 5-lugs.

I have both an E30 and an E36. Off the top of my head I can't think of anything that fits both cars.
I was kinda’ wrong.
The forward lower control arms, forward lower control arm bushings, and ‘lollipops’ carry different part numbers but are the same geometry.
The E36 318/325/323/328 control arm contains a rubber isolated outer ball joint, the E30 Outer BJ is solid.
I would not re-use any of these parts except the ‘lollipop’.

I don't know for certain, but it would not surprise me if the seats swapped ok. Certainly relays and fuses. Miscellaneous interior plastic fasteners, which I always try to pick up whenever I see some in a junk yard. But major mechanical items - yeah not much. Possibly electrical connectors/plugs if you have one that breaks - they can get old and brittle, especially if the car sits too long without being driven.
