For the love of all things BMW I cannot find the oil pressure sensor. Someone said its inside the engine, someone else said its on the outside. I have a printout, I've watched yt vids and its the n20 engine but there's no sensor where they show it should be. Is it actually in the engine? Plz help
Go to www.realoem.com and enter the last 7 characters of the car’s vehicle identification number. Hit enter and bookmark the page. Click on the engine icon and start searching. BMW usually puts the oil pressure switch on the oil filter housing.
Thank you for the info. When I go to the site and search for the part it returns an "Internal server error." Besides that, I dont see anything about an oil pressure sensor within those particular engine oil system diagrams.
Reloem is a factory parts system the oil pressure switch is in section 11, but it will be listed on the picture that it screws in to so you will have hunt thru the pictures I just tested the site and it worked for me, it’s not a repair site, just parts
Youtube is not a great source for information.
The oil pressure and oil temperature are built into the same sensor, found here:

It is located in the block of the engine, behind the throttle body area, and just behind the A/C compressor:

What's going on with your sensor?
