    M52 to M54 manifold conversion

Im putting a M54 manifold on my 323ci as I had the manifold off while doing coolant pipes and some maintenance and thought I’d do this swap while I’m there.

My question is should I use the M54 injectors or stick with the originals? I got them when I got the manifold but been told they wont be any good for the 323 due to the power, Can anyone give some advice?

I have done this conversion twice.

    1) Fitted a M54B25 inlet manifold to a M52TUB25 in a E46 323i
    2) Fitted a M54B25 inlet manifold to a M52TUB20 in a E36/7 Z3

    Easy job.
    - Use your original fuel injectors
    - Use your original throttle body but you have to get an adapter. Bimmertune on E-bay sells a really good one.
    - Use the original fuel rail

The M54B30 inlet manifold works well too. Different throttle body adaptor and you have to stretch the fuel rail pipes a little to get it around the B30 inlet manifold.

There is only one thing more pleasurable than working on a Z3, that's driving it top down on a fine day.
