Hi all,
20 years is a long time for drooling on something. I really liked the Z3 when it first appeared on the street some 20 years ago. It always catch my attention when I see it around but I never thought I would get one because of course it was expensive and also it was not practical for a father with two young kids. My son just got his driver license couple weeks ago and my mini van is approaching 100k. ItÂ’s time to buy a new car! It could be the last car I buy (IÂ’m 60) then why not something I really like but never had? Convertible!
After looking around for used Benz 220, SLK, Thunderbird, I realised that Z3 till has the best reputation, reliable, affordable and last quite long. One week searching I came to this z3. The Dakar color is not my first choice but I canÂ’t pass this rare automatic 2002, 2.5i with just 35k mileages. It look like new. I may look ridiculous to many for driving a yellow convertible but hey, I belong to the yellow submarine generation anyway. IÂ’m sure I will enjoy this car as a weekend toy.
i know zero about car or itÂ’s engine and I hope I can learn a lot from this forum to tinker around with this toy.

Hi,

Welcome to Z3 ownership. I currently have 2, a Mora Red edition 2.0L manual and a Siena Red 3.0L Auto. They are fun cars.

You may not have noticed, but you posted in the E46 forum. The Z3 forum on here is very very good with some very experienced Z3 owners very willing to help solve problems. See you over on the Z3 forum.

Honestly Z3s are awesome. And who cares what people think! I think the color is one of the best for the Z3 and negative comments come from jealous people. Cars are not exclusive to anyone, they are to be enjoyed. You deserve it!
