I am looking for a driver door lock for a 89 635csi. Where can i find one?
New from a BMW dealer.
Just the cylinder? You can re-pin the cylinder if you find a decent used door assembly. Sadly, it's not really easy to get them apart. It took me a while to figure it all out, there's some online guides. The door pocket is a pretty tight space.
As mentioned by Roger, BMW dealer part department is likely your best choice. I'm not sure if they'll still pin a cylinder for your car, but they did have accurate records back to the '90s last time I checked.
Two years ago, I needed an emergency key replacement for my '91 318iS. The dealer required my title (as proof of ownership), but couldn't cut a key. It was shipped from New Jersey, delivered next-day air. It felt awfully expensive for a single key, but it was a bargain considering the prices of local locksmiths. I only paid $80.
Save the manuals!

I order key repair kit part 51219556329 form a Dlr. on Jan 9, 2021 and received it on Jan. 15. $75.00. I'll have to figure out how to make the key work.
^+1 I ordered just the repair kit from BMW, though a good bit of time ago. It had a new cylinder and an assortment of pins you can set to match your existing key, It was way less expensive than buying a new lock
