Ok, So on the forums, there are different points of view on this. Some say A sharp thump on the bottom of the mirror toward the windscreen. Some say, pull the mirror away from the windscreen, some say twist it 45%.
So, I tried to twist it, but it didn't feel right, so I tried the Thump Forward. Thanks to the AHole who suggested that, as i now have a broken windscreen.
I am guessing the correct procedure is to pull the mirror towards you?

Yes, The Correct way to remove a Rear View Mirror is to Rotate 45%.
Do Not Pull, Do Not Push.
Yes, rotate the mirror to unlock it from the base. I don't even think it matters if you rotate it CW or CCW.
