Thinking about selling my 2003 330xi. What is the going rate these days?
It’s an automatic with 159k on the dash. I’ve replaced just about everything except for the suspension, motor and transmission. My son drove it for a few months but put less than 500 miles on it. He’s going off to college in a few months and wants something newer. I had plans of keeping it but I’ve got 3 other BMWs and a Truck. I know the AWDs are becoming rare but if it was a manual I’d find room for it. The only part of the car that needs to be refreshed is the interior. Would $3k be asking too much?

I don't think that would be too much given the work you've put into it. I'd say that's about right. As a buyer i'd be concerned about the transfer case and driveshafts, other than that people tend to buy these cars who know and love them. And buying from an enthusiast is always a plus!
If you're up on most of the maintenance then $3k is perfectly fair. Up in the Northeast I put on the snow tire/wheel set each winter and the thing is unstoppable. Summer tire/wheel set for the other 3 months. Right around 156k now myself. Love it.
