First off I’d like to thank everyone who may offer some kind of response..Though on this site a few months, everyone has given me great answers to my car questions and/or issues..Awesome guys!
Now..questions on my 2011 328i sedan. Upon failing the California smog test, codes P2096 and P2098 popped up on the screen..Upon reading up on the site previous questions on this matter, it looks to be more of the oxygen sensors in need of replacement? worst case being the Cadillac (haha) converters? I checked out everything else in terms of AFM boot tears (leaks), canister top cracks, etc. and nothing out of the naked eye.
If in fact the oxygen sensors needing replacement, do all four (4) of them need to be replaced or the ones pulling the codes? I figure since doing this might as well go for gold and replace all four correct? I’m already feeling the “ouch” of $250 up each sensor, but you gotta do what you gotta do right? Any other insight is welcomed as well. Thanks..

Do you have the N51 equipped car? If so and you haven't passed the 15 year/150k mile extended warranty, it would be worth booking an appointment with your local dealership.
Several years ago BMW extended the warranty on those cars equipped with the N51 on all emission related items.

Personally I would take the car to a good independent bmw shop for some diagnostic work first
