Just got a beemer, never had one, love it so far, less than a week, 09 only 66K miles, fairly well taken care of, could use a little help.
Can't seem to find a maintenance/replacement schedule, it seems to have been in a garage, but being this old i wonder about shocks/struts, the front end seems a little washy, but the only other convertible i have ever had is a miata, so...
i didn't see anything in the common problems, anything i should be on the lookout for, i don't want to throw money at it, but don't mind doing what i gotta do to keep it in good shape.
If i'm getting all this right, the 335 is turbocharged, and there is an old intake that can give a significant naturally aspirated hp boost?
what kind of shock/struts would you all suggest for daily driving with a little performance boost?
best website to order parts? the trunk shocks are shot.
any other general info is welcome.
So it is a 335 or an 328? I don’t understand the second part about the manifold
You can install an intake manifold from a 330i to get more power. FCP Euro Is great for parts if you never want to buy something again, but they're about 10% more expensive than ECS tuning.
Consider a crank seal protection plate from Kies Motorsports or Oxwerkz.
Don't bother with cheap suspension like solowerks or anything in that range. I have no experience with midrange suspension, but I can tell you that I've never seen anything but glowing reviews for Ohlins stuff on any car.
