    E46 GM transmission adaptation after change?

    Hey!
    I have an E46 330CD with a wrong defective GM 5l40 transmission.
    I want to just change it to another. Do I have to reset something software, or the change is just plug&play?

    No need to adapt, just make sure that the tag on the side of the transmission shows exactly the same details, maker, model, part number
