Good afternoon all.
Apologies for my first post being one asking for technical advice.
How anybody replaced their power steering cooler on their F02 (or F01) that could give me some pointers please? Mine has sprung a leak just where the bottom pipe clips tot he radiator cowl (its where it looks like) so I need to replace it. I just wondered what I do and don’t need to remove to get to it?
At first glance it looks like I will at least need to remove the inter cooler and possibly the radiator but any advice would be gratefully received.
Thank you in advance.
Michael
You could check bmw tis repair information which you have to pay to use it it’s what the deal techs use
Thank you for the reply. I bit the bullet this afternoon and decided to start stripping it down. I’ve got as far as removing all the top front panel, where the strut braces bolt to, I’ve removed the cooling fan and the intercooler. Ive drained the radiator and removed the hoses but i can’t get it out. I can now see the power steering cooler but it looks like you’ve got to remove the radiator, AC condenser and power steering cooler all in one go with the plastic housing. Although i can remove the radiator around in the plastic cowling I can’t for the life of me remove it
