Hi all,
I am after some help and advice. I have a non vanos '92 325 e36, and a 2001 e46 ESS Supercharged 330i wagon with a Quaife LSD in it. (Both complete cars)
I want to put the e46 engine into the e36 (my deadicated track car)
I guess I need help on how you would go about wiring in the two looms togeather, or another option is to see if the supercharger will fit onto the e36 block (not sure if the intake manifold patterns are the same). And would a standalone help to keep it more simple (and options?) as I know sticking a OBD1 and OBD2 car together will be interesting.
Thanks
E36 and e46 manifolds are different. A couple companies sell plug and play harnesses for s54 swaps, probably similar to the m54b30 but I don't know for sure.

From what I hear swapping into early models is extra difficult. Anything is possible with enough effort.

Yes, so Hack Engineering do a PnP harness, and I can then get all the EWS etc mapped out.. Hopefully that should get it starting.. Obviously I need to change the peddle box or convert the throttle from wire to dbw..
