Hi
im new in this forum because i tried everything and still my 2010 328i e90 has overcooling problems, on idle heating is lukewarm and once i ride car starts blowing cold air. Literally i swapped everything which may cause this problem - i swapped two thermostats (one no-name, one Meyle), electrical water pump (Pierburg) and i have a new radiator (old one plastic hose cracked).
On diagnostics there is no faults, but we get to some important temperatures - COOLANT TEMPERATURE gets to 96 - 97 C and sits there properly, but RADIATOR OUTLET TEMPERATURE on idle periodically goes from around 40 C to around 75 C and again back to 40. It draws kind of "sinusoid" on live data and never gets over 80. Once you ride temperature goes to 12 and of course blowing crazy cold... what do you think? it looks as this damn Tstat, but i already swap 2, which means there would be 3 broken?what do you think? Also why it change the outlet temperature on idle? and why is possible coolant temperature is sitting fine on 97?
Thank you for every reply....
At this point I would get an infrared heat gun and shoot both radiator hoses and the hoses into and out of the heater core instead of using live data
