Carburettor route. Double carbs look tasty! Looking for some info and help.

    Hello,
the E30 threads aren't much help when it comes to carburettor questions, so i'm hoping for some help from you guys.

i've got an E30 316(m10b18) with the infamous Pierburg 2BE carburettor, that im looking to swap.

I've decided that i want to keep the car for what it is, so im not doing any engine swaps.

The carb im currently loking at is the Weber 32/34 DMTL as it fits without any further work needed.
Having said that these double carb setups started looking really tasty: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJnObhD81iY

What i want to know is:
How big of a power gain do you get with these setups?
    vs
How does the daily driveability suffer? (Fuel consumption and sound) I wouldn't like my car incredibly loud.

Do you think there is a point in a double Weber 32/34 or should i start looking at bigger carbs? I'd like to buy my first 32/34 and then add on another one later maybe.

The Weber 32/36 is the popular simple single-carb upgrade. Duals use the very different Weber DCOE type carbs.
