Hi everyone,

New BMW owner here. Got a CPO, 2018 530I XDRIVE. Was wondering if anyone could assist me with the matter.

Earlier today the check engine light came on so I ran the codes. As stated in subject, P05A9 came up and the other thingI can find is "Manufacturer Defined"

I've used the OBDLINK App along with the OBDLink CX. It showed two codes of the same but under two categories. One as pending while the other permanent.

I googled to find the code but not coming up with much success. Anyone ran into this issue and what problem lies underneath this code?

I believe that is one of the “active air flap” OBD codes. Do a google search for “BMW active air flap code P05A9”
