Question Syncing fob without closing all doors?

My trunk lid is held closed with pins, there is no latch connected anymore, therefore I cannot “close all doors” to follow the proper re-sync process. Is there another way to re-sync my key fob?

Why don’t you complete your latch circuit with a jumper wire?

That was my first thought but the wiring schematic I found makes me pretty certain it’s not a switch, it’s the typical Hall effect sensor like the other door latches around the car and is electronic, not electrical. Not trying to fry my GM5.
