Hello,
i swapped a e85 from M54b22 to M54b30 and the ecu MS45 was flashed by a engine tuner.
The engine runs now, but i got a lot of dsc and power steering error codes.
The power steering (electric on the e85) does not work and nearly all warning lights on the Tachometer are on and the engine does not have the power it should.
The engine tuner told me i should also update the other controllers using winkfp.
Is this correct? Is there anywhere a introduction how to flash the other controllers?
Thann you very much
Best regards
Christoph
I would make sure first that the tuner used factory Z4 data to convert to m54b30... this could have been done with winkfp just fine.
For example if they used E53, E60, or E83 data for conversion, then you will have errors.
DME needs to be on Z4 3.0i flash and the others will work together fine.

An update to the other controllers seems useless, because the Z4 2.2i and 3.0i would use the same hardware, and communication would not disappear.
Which Error Codes do you have?
-Abel
- E36 328is ~210-220whp: Lots of Mods.
- 2000 Z3: Many Mods.
- 2003 VW Jetta TDI Manual 47-50mpg
- 1999 S52 Estoril M Coupe
- 2014 328d Wagon, self-tuned, 270hp/430ft-lbs
- 2019 M2 Competition, self-tuned, 504whp
- 2016 Mini Cooper S
And is the vin correct in all modules?
Hi,
this sounds more possible to me.
How can i check this? I got inpa an winkfp and tried arround a litle bit to find this out but i cound not find it.
What is the the list of errors you are having now?
Error codes are
CD98 Tourqe
CD9C Speed
CDA5 Status DSC
29AF Signal Control KL15
CDA0 Signal KL130
These are mostly communication issues between dme-dsc.
I would prefer to have a look myself on car with diagnosis tool connected
Yes if you could have a look that would be great. Is this possible by teamviever?
How can i check what program is on the dme? I mean if its really the one for the e85 and not for the e60 or e46.
