    Coupes...
    That's pretty expensive for a plastic wing-nut.
White is Right, Steel Grey is OK, but Estoril is the only color that truly matters.

    I like Coupes.

Maybe check with salvage yards near you and see if they have any Z3 on lot that might still have the nut-probably give it to you for little or no cost.

If I had one I'd send it to you for just the cost of shipping... don't think my parts car Z3 has that part left though

Since that part seems to be unavailable, this or something similar might work: https://www.amazon.com/uxcell-Thread...6Q8T440C97EFED

    I stand corrected...https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...79#51478247760

I would go to my local hardware store and see what I could find.

A well stocked ace hardware might have something in their nuts/bolts etc section. They have nylon and plastic fasteners

You could try Tom's Foreign Auto, they are parting out a 2001 Z3, stock number 140091
They do not list this part, but since it is small and insignificant, they are not going to take the trouble to list every part.
They have a link on the page for a 'Part Request' so it cannot hurt to ask if they still have the part:

Weird that it's not available any more. Hell, for $30 I'm tempted to just send you one of mine! (not really though) Haha

I picked up one of these plastic wingnuts at the U-Pull a couple days ago. I'll send it off to you (no charge) if you send an address. Check your inbox.
