    Dinantronics Sport Check Engine

    Hey everyone,

I got a Dinantronics SPORT tuner for my f30 340i. I installed per instructions, paired it to my iphone and set it to Sport+ mode. It seemed to be behaving very erratically. Boost was coming on at very unpredictable points in the rev band, it was surging forward randomly and idling low, etc. I just felt weird about it, so I pulled over, turned the engine off but left in accessory mode and switched to stock mode on the app. Then starting driving and the characteristics were exactly as stock so I was pleased to see it was at least functional in that way. I pulled over again to put in in Sport mode and see if it was any better than sport+ and I couldn't get the app to work. Wouldn't pair to my phone at all. I looked at the Dinan unit to see if the red light was on and it was not, so the thing had turned off for some reason. I started my car to go home and had a check engine light. Temp gauge was reading normal but there was a LOT of ambient heat coming from the motor when I got home. Waited a while to uninstall the Dinan and the check engine has been on since. Did it break my car?? I'm really hoping everything is okay, I really love this car.
