Rear defrost issues

Hey guys,
When I had my hatch transplant done this past summer, the job was not entirely finished, from a mechanical perspective. The rear defrost and the piece you press to release the rear glass are inoperative.

So I finally pulled out the Bentley's and had a look at the sparse electrical information; really just being concerned with the defroster at this point, as winter is on it's way.

Fuse 66 (40A) and fuse 20 (7.5A) look fine. I'm not sure about the relay, or relays. Hmm. Now it looks like there are 3 (!!!) according to page 610-17 in Volume 2. Sigh.

But let me pose this. What is this plug for in the picture attached ?! Does it have anything to do with my window latch or the defroster ? I can't find the other end of it for one thing. Any thoughts ?

Oh, and NO, I don't hear a clicking sound for any relay when I hit the switch on the IHKA. The light does come on, but that's it. Thanks for the help.
EDIT: 20 minutes later, and I now remember how convoluted it was to add a picture. Huh

Anyone ? Any thoughts ? Is there a way to test the relay or swap it with another similar relay from somewhere else in the car ? Having trouble pulling up a decent wiring diagram now that BMW TIS is gone.
