Hey, whats up everybody. Man, its been a min. Just wanted to find out if I'm missing any parts from the shifter area (shifter ball location) bushings or any miscellaneous pieces or does it come like this from factory? Its a 1983 BMW 733i.
Also, let me know what parts I may have to change. Please see pics below.

For those who have the same shifter assembly. Do you have this bushing installed on the shifter, that goes in here?

Looks like it to me. You should have an upper and lower plastic washer thing like that best I recall. I have to do this on the 10:1 car shortly. The part to the selector shaft wears too, order its seal too. Inspect flex disc while in there, SGF sticks in my mind as the brand to use.
Floppy rear mount, just install an air filter mount to tighten it up. The front mounts induce a ton of flex also, I am going to repop the solid mounts. That looks like a factory E23 shifter, it is well past is use...put it in a vise and see how much flex that damned thing has due to worn internal rubber. You will be shocked.
Rock some good fluid in it. Redline in mine now.

Is this worth the money or should I keep my stock selector rod? Will I notice a big difference with the DSSR?

I've been tempted to order one of these, since someone finally started making some that fit the E23. Only reason I haven't is because I have a custom modified one from a different car that I need to test fit first
My other experience with DSSR's is with E30's and I will say that I think it is a worthwhile upgrade. Not only for helping eliminate some of the flex of the stock assembly, they are also much stronger that the factory stamped selector rod. I have had a few of them fail in different cars, enough to make me want to upgrade just for reliabilities sake.
If you scroll through my Bahama Beige 733 thread, towards the middle of the 1st page there are some photos of my shifter assembly when I had it out for a rebuild. Unfortunately I didn't take many detailed photos so it might not be very helpful to you, but it might be worth a look.
Bondo Steve made one, check his old build thread. I always wanted one for my old 735i. I tried a ton of different shifters in mine and liked the UUC dimensions best in mine but the quality was so-so for the entire unit as the height was adjustable. There is some photo around showing many of the available OE shorter throw units. Stock E23 is definitely for ease and not for speed.
I had no idea that rod had same interchange, no shock... but no retailers want to test fit shit on the E23. Imagine that. I will definitely buy one for that 10:1 car. Should clean up a ton of slop in the shifter.

Anyone know where I can find a clutch pedal switch? Seems like the factory ones are hard to find or do I just get a universal one?

You can buy that exact one in the picture on eBay. They are the same for all early 80’s BMWs
Part number 61311362809

Not needed. It comes in to play for cruise control deactivation (when changing gears)

Need help. Does anyone know how to remove the upper plastic bushing from the shift lever?

Ok, so I see that the upper shift lever comes off but, mine is stuck on there like glue. Does this twist off or pull off? How do I get this part off? This is a stock photo I found online.

I found a ring clip at the bottom that was badly rusted which I thought was apart of the upper shift lever, lol. I had to shine a light in there and look really hard. I ended up not messing with it. The upper bushing wasnt in that bad of a shape so I left it alone and just changed the lower bushing located in the shifter plate.
