    2005 M5 Purchase Y or N?

Have a chance to purchase a 2005 M5 with 75K on it. It's an auto trans in good condition. No service history at this time.

    Good idea or bad idea?

What's likely to need attention at this age & miles?

What is a fair price for one of these?

I'm pretty familiar with the E24, 36, 38 & 39 but know very little about these.

As long as you have a substantial reserve for repairs for this very expensive to maintain 15 year old car. I’d like one myself. An E90M3 is more reliable if you would consider an alternative.

Thanks. I did some research after posting. Sounds like maintenance would be like driving the space shuttle. I work at a car dealership and we took this in on trade. Think I'll let this one pass.
