    camshaft guide cover scratch

Yesterday I was removing the camshaft guide cover (1984 325e) to replace the o-ring and seal and was unaware that the metal was so soft. I ended up scratching it, not terribly but still scratched it nonetheless. The scratches are only on the metal past the o ring and on the external side (away from the actual cams). I'm hoping to not have to replace it and was wondering if anyone had any advice? I would hate to put it back and start leaking oil, but I believe am fine. I have attached some pictures below. I'm quite new to this so any input is appreciated. Thank you!

    No e30s, again :(
hopefully the pics show for everyone else. I cannot see them but where I work blocks lots of things.

as long as you are not in an o-ring groove, I would imagine you are ok, though
    No e30s again.
