Hi people
Just really need advice to be honest my car F30 320d 2012 was booked in for a recall repair of the EGR system. The engine was losing coolant fast which BMW was aware of.
Just last night the car had failed completely just before I here bad noises coming from the engine before failure.
My question is now the car is sat there like a lemon what sh ok I’ll I tell the BMW Garage as I obviously now can’t drive the car to the garage for a repair.
Also if this engine has failed due to the failed recalled part and cause damage to my car and for it to overheat what would everybody’s advice to me be?
Thanks in advance
Dean
The egr valve exhaust gas recirculation valve would not make you loose coolant, could just another unfortunate engine design by bmw or a failed part
Once again you reply without having a clue as to what the issue is.
The egr has its own cooler and if the o ring fails the coolant in the egr cooler mixes with diesel soot.
As far as the recall, here read up https://www.consumerreports.org/car-...(EGR)%20module.
