    Throttle body cooling

Hello everyone, I've recently bought an 1988 325 vert. I'm just starting with the repairs needed.

I've noticed that the water housing attached to the throttle body doesn't have the hoses attached. I live at tropical weather, is this connection necessary? I've read both sides that it's to avoid freezing at the gate and/or to cool off air going to the intake manifold. So here I am seeking the wisdom of those who really know.

That's only to avoid freezing up as far as I know.
I'd say it's useless in your climate.
