chance to purchase a 2003 M3 SMG

i have a chance to purchase a 2003 M3 SMG black with black interior. Whats it worth realistically? i am being offered 6500 wholesale price because the SMG will only run in manual. I figure its the SMG Pump.

my thoughts were exactly lol. my first thought it was a real 6 speed manual. but found out otherwise. bummer

And if you do decide to buy it, do not repair the SMG - convert it to a 3-pedal. Ant did it on 'Wheeler Dealers'.

cannot believe how ready the car is for a manual assembly. this may be alot more promising.. just curious on a install and parts writeup with a bit more debt.

I would never by a bmw with the smg system, but then again when my 525 dies or I get rid of it I won’t be buying another bmw again

In the program, Mike Brewer shows that he has to have the car coded for the new transmission and says that 'special proprietary software' from a dealer or an indy mechanic is needed. Fact of that matter is that PA Soft 1.4 on a Windows laptop can be used to code the car for the 'new' manual transmission.
