hi i ve done swap on my 97 sedan m43b16 to m42b18 engine from 1992 so all was easy until i came to electronics. the 92 does not have ews2 like 97 so there is question some people told me that all what i need is disconnect ews module and it should be ok but is not when i disconnect i t it wont even crank and when is connected it dont send minus signal from ecu to fuel pump relay. at first spark plugs were dead to bus they somehow started giving spark then i turned on fuel pump manually and next day again no spark....then i asked on advice on some fb groups and they told me that i am running non ews engine wiring on ews car so that means that i am mixing some pins in 25pin round connector that connects car to engine my question is what i need to do to run that non ews cable management on ews car ?
You are going to have to find wiring diagrams for both years and compare 25 pin connectors. Maybe re-pin the connector(s).
The 1997 has EWS II Module, 92 ECU/wiring does not have EWS.
Which ECU are you using?
Can you use 1997 engine wiring harness/ECU?

i found both diagrams but that just showed me some connector positions, i am using ecu that has been on that m42 engine but it was in compact with auto tranny so i bought manual wiring from 95 connected all and after some time sparkplugs worked but fuel pupm didnt relay didnt activated by ecu so i connected pump manualy and engine started but next day spark plugs were dead so i continued searching i found pin which told ecu that automat transsmission is in N/P mode and activated it but then nothing and i am really confused about it
