    2004 E65 745i Cranckase breather hoses - Advise needed

    Hi guys,

I have just replaced the valve cover gaskets and in the process I craked the plastic *original* breather hoses that connect to the intake (bottom half of the picture) thus the engine now idles terribly.

Someone is suggesting to get the "new" 2 hose set (top half of the picture) that directly connect the right valve cover to the top of the intake and the left to the bottom.

    Will this work? Any suggestions?

The update dated hoses have to do with replacing the right valve cover, if you only replaced the gaskets only you need the stock hoses

    Thank you Jclausen,

Yes, I have only replaced the gaskets but, locally, it is hard to find the original ones... Not having replaced the right valve cover, can't I then use the 2-hose set?

When the right valve cover is replaced with new one no longer has the PCv diaphragm in the cover for some reason, the updated hose that goes to the right cover has pcv diaphram in the hose that’s why, if you go to reloem.com enter the last seven of the vin go to section 11, engine you can see the parts picture and get part numbers fcpeuro probably has the parts
