convertible tail light

on my 08 335i convertible bulb number 6 is out,pulled the bulb it does not look burnt.Got out my nifty owners manual to find the bulb number and ran across this.If bulb 2-6 are not working bring it to bmw.I was thinking how hard can it be .Maybe i shouldnt ask that question,has anyone ever seen this before?IMG_0779.jpg

just noticed i believe its the led part thats out.

I believe you will find that the LED sections are not replaceable. You will need to replace the tail lamp assembly (both the fender and the trunk lid sections) to get these light sections to come back.

Thanks for the reply,so if just the trunk led is out, both the tail light and the trunk need to be changed?

No. You can replace the trunk lid section separately. Use RealOEM to find the part number and see the way that the parts go together. Then you can use sites such as FCPEuro.com (there are others, so you can shop).

It’s funny about led’s, I have a 1996 bmw r1100gs and I put some led clearance lights on my top box, like 10 years ago and they still work, even after crashing and grinding one down abit, but these tail lights must not be built very well

i was a little surprised to see mine out,leds usually last a long time
