    Car wash wax residue on windshield.

    Went to a touch less car wash a couple months ago and since then there is this nasty haze that appears on my windshield on cold mornings. Wiper clears it for a second but then it comes back and you can see blots of where their wax/soap was.

    It keeps reappearing as I drive for several minutes, makes it really hard to see. I've tried various cleaners to get it off, even scrubbed with rubbing alcohol but it wont budge. What the heck can I use/do to strip this crap off?

    2002 BMW 530i Sport
    Use a mildly aggressive polishing compound. I've used Meguiar's M105 and M205 on glass with no issues. Start gentle.

    Either will work. I would start by hand and see if that resolves it for you. Then step up to machine if need be.
