Anyone here separated the halves and replaced the o-rings? I've got a leak on my driver side and want to go ahead and re-paint and reseal them. I'm not sure on the size, and would love to go ahead and have everything here to rebuild before I remove them. Any tips or advice on it? ATE style, 1983. Thanks all!

Ireland Engineering has them rebuilt for $55 each (front) ready to go. Check out there website ireland engineering motorsports
You need the special seals like PMB has, not just any regular O-ring. The correct ones are square cut.
I rebuilt mine with a kit from England that had all the seals and stainless steel pistons. I’ll post the link when I get back home.
Good find on the caliper seals, I got mine from a BMW parts supplier and then found out the ones I had were good,,, this was a Girling rebuild the passenger side that no one stocks-- a keeper...
Just ordered some myself for that day running Ate's right now and have new Ate brake lines front and back for that day as well with other Ate goodies, changed out the proportioning valve as well some time ago, got mine out of Italy for ~$90.00-the seller was in the small business program run thru the United Nations fostering International Trade ...

I got some of those a long time ago. Also their Stainless steel pistons. They raised the price form $32 each to $45 each.
48mm Stainless Steel A-Caliper Piston
I have been watching some made by Centric there price varies. Honing with fine grit hone the circular channels they move back and forth in is a good idea.

I do not recommend the stainless pistons, especially at the new higher price. It's just that mine were so badly rusted and stuck in the calipers and I didn't want that to happen again, so I spent the extra money.
