On my 2011 BMW 328i, convertible, e93, left side (driver) headlight, hi/low beams would not work. (Bi xenon).
I purchased the car a few weeks ago and some condensation was visible inside the headlight (left only). I found also some corrosion that I have cleaned gently with a wire brash, tooth brash and a spray for cleaning electrical connections.
So far, I have removed the front bumper and removed the head light.
I have replaced all bulbs, no go
I checked all (glove compartment only) fuses, no go.
I switched all components, ballasts from the working (right side) and..no go.
I bought all new components, no go .
I checked which slats/pins on the main connector to the headlight are hot -
when the switch is on hi beam, (power on) - slat/Pin #’s 3, 4, 5, 6, are hot
when the switch is on the low beams - slat/pin #’s 4, 5, are hot. (Switch is on and the car is running).
what the hell do I miss?
I donĀ’t know how to check the bulbs them self, ( high power)
I donĀ’t have the headlight wire diagram, maybe someone here would be kind to post or just contact me.
I hate to go and spend $1,000.00 ouch.
I going crazy, what did I miss? I can not drive and enjoy my newly purchased car.
Is there is some individual or a reputable business that I can sent the headlight for repair?
is anyone here have an headlight for sale for a reasonable price?
If I would try to convert the headlight (bi xenon) to LED, would it help?
P.S. I will checked for continuity, from the main plug pins to the bulb.... no continuity
Are there on the market none factory adaptive headlights?
A Million thanks in advance.
James

Update:
Today I have bench tested the headlight and high and low lights are working. Now is time to go outside and connect the headlight to the car.
