flashing red light next to volume knob on radio

A small red light keeps flashing on the radio next to the volume knob.I dont see anything in the manual about it.Anyone know what this is and how to get it to turn off?

That is an indicator that the factory radio is theft protected. It cannot be turned off.

Disconnect battery power to turn it off.

But you need to put in radio code once you reconnect.

Or remove the head unit and disconnect power to the head unit. You can still operate the car.
Same reconnection code is required.

It does not turn off.

Lock the car with a window down, reach in and push a button on the radio.
