E39 3 spoke m wheel into e36

I know it's been covered. But the threads are not straightforward and full of bs.

I got an e39 3 spoke m wheel a while ago. It didnt come with a slip ring.
I dont care about buttons working yet.
I just want to make the horn work.
Someone go through this slow for me. Lol
What wires on the column.
What plug or wires on the wheel.

I went through the wire diagram. I found the ground and the slip switch at the column, and the horn works when I short the ground to the switch end.
Looks like I need the proper slip ring to make work. The wheel has an obvious ground wire in purple in its loom. So it will be an easy hook up when I get a slip ring. Delete thread if you want mr. Mod. I dont know if any other e39 wheel has that info posted in it.
