Hey guys,
I have an E30 M3 with a s50b32 swapped since 14 years. IIRC after the swap the shifting became not so smooth going from a gear to the other you cant just pop it in, it's like there is a wall or something that you hit and then you push it, not that it's very tough or hard but you cant just pop it in from one to the other in one swift go.
If the car is idling at standstill, i can go through the gears without that happening.
I wonder what's up and if it can be fixed
Thanks for any help

Sounds like worn-out synchros to me... Maybe others will have other suggestions.

Perhaps the clutch isn't fully disengaging. Air in the hydraulics is a common reason. If clutch is operating correctly check trans oil level and check for correct fluid. Gear oil in a box made for ATF will shift hard, esp in cold weather.
