Ok so today I decided that I was spontaneously going to go get food. When I got in my car to turn it on, it didn't. None of the lights or beeps that normally turn on did and I noticed that the needles for both the gas and temperature were stuck in the positions they were in when I last turned the car off. I immediately came here and a bunch of people were saying the battery was bad, the fuses were bad, the starter was bad, etc. I tried all of it and none of it was working so I gave up and decided I was going to walk to the nearest autozone to get my battery checked.
When I popped open the trunk to get the battery out the trunk light had not turned on. When I went to disconnect the battery I dropped the wrench on the terminal on accident and sparks went flying. Apart from the wrench being hot I noticed that the trunk light had turned on. I immediately went to check the needles and they went down to the off position. I was like "why not" and tried to turn the car on. Miraculously it actually turned on. So, my question to everyone is what on earth happened or what did I do? I have no idea nor does my dad and I want to know if anyone else has experienced this and what happened afterwards?
Any info is very much appreciated. Thanks guys!
Please Clean the battery posts and tighten the battery cables...cheers!
