Good evening!
My car has high OBC and navigation without DSP.
My BM54 finally died and I needed to replace it.
I had spare Sony single din headunit from 2010. that I decided to install.
I removed the old BM54, TV tuner (obsolete) and 6 CD changer (not working).
Then I made a new "holder" for Sony headunit, connected all wires and it works.
Sound is much better than the old BM54 unit, even on factory speakers.
The only problem is that I cannot control it, lol.
I searched online for adapter for steering wheel controls but most of the posts are very old.
I am wondering which one is best to use in 2020. Most people recommend ASWC but the price is way too high.
I also saw lots of Connects2 adapters with normal price but there are way too many models. I don't know which one to get.
Also, can I use the I-Bus wire that was connected to BM54?
Cassette player has 4 wires. I only used 3 for Aux input so I have one spare wire at the front that is already routed to the back
that I can use in case that I need I-Bus wire from the front.
Thank you in advance!

Hi,
You need to use an interface that works with the Sony head unit model number you have. One of those Connects2 units will most likely cover the model. Speak to a Connects2 dealer or look online for the model number and purchase that item.
Cheers, Dennis!

Hello!
I did exactly as you said.
All of them on eBay were sold by Dynamic Sounds from UK so I went on their website.
I was interested in these two models:
CTSBM004.2
DS-BM004.2
On official Connects2 website I can only see CTSBM004.2 so I sent the email to Dynamic Sounds to see
what is the difference between them. Turns out they are exactly the same, only packaging is different.
I will order in next couple of days and I will reply once I install it just to tell you if it works or not.
