Code out brake wear sensors? E90

I've got the brake wear warnings I can't clear, I've shorted the sensors and verified circuit integrity at the dsc module. I've reflashed and coded the module hoping for a software glitch but the codes keep coming back. I suspect pin 10 which is the common ground for the 2 sensors failed inside the module.

Is there a way to code this feature out? All I've been able to find are sensor hacks/replacement diys. I think I came across an option in the kombi but it resets to default on terminal change. Really not trying to replace the dsc module for a feature I don't need or want.

I recall, perhaps wrongly, that I had to set my E36 and E46 ignition to ON (Position II) but not start the car and let the sensor check in so that it cleared the indicator. On your E9x, you would put the key fob in and push the START button but do not hold the Brake Pedal. My memory is about 20 seconds for the new Brake Wear Sensors to check in with the mothership to clear the display.

I've tried literally everything. At the dsc connector I have < 1.5 ohm resistance on both circuits, tried every combination of key cycles, flashed and coded the module, still no dice. Just wanna code it out.

No fix yet. Would really like to avoid replacing the module... Somehow messing with it changed from red car on lift warning to yellow, not sure how or why.

I didn't fancy buying new sensors all the time so I got some old ones, cut the cables near the plugs, soldered the wires together and plugged them back in. Reset the system as normal (can't recall what you do). All I can say is it worked for me. No more alarms. Just check the pads regularly as you would in the old days.
