IMG_0414.jpgIMG_0415.jpgIMG_0416.jpgJUST UPLOADED PICS - SORRY
I'm a Newbie BMW owner and over 60 so.... I replaced the iDrive controller in my 2010 650i convertible. I've got two problems now: (but the controller operates fine!)
1. For the life of me, I could NOT figure out where the cable in the picture went after hooking up all the connections under the center console. The cable comes from the rear of the center console from the rear seat area and hooks up where? I checked with a service manual and it appears to connect with another cable under the storage compartment. Has a circular connection. Anyone have a picture of the correct wire? Does it connect to the center console itself?
2. After connecting all the other cables, the convertible top button will not operate the top or light up when touched. Obviously I messed something up...
Any help would be appreciated.

So I took the dash apart - again... Now the convertible top works! Yay I guess.
So the cable that is not hooked up may be for the phone bluetooth system? What do I need to do to hook up the bluetooth system. The system will not allow me to add a phone. Just get the wheel of death....
UPDATE: I took the dash apart - again and double checked the connections. Must have been the connections since the top works now. However, the system will not advance past selection of the phone on the menu. I just get the death circle...
So do you have to purchase a bluetooth module in oder to get the phone to work?
