    1984 and 85 318i Distributor Interchange

    Does anyone know if distributors from a 1984 and 1985 are interchangeable if you change out the black plug in connectors? I am talking about the bosch distributors ending in part numbers 80 and 96!

    They probably are. They are not spring controlled, or vacuum advanced, right? I cannot remember what the distributor looked like on my little 85 I used to have
    No e30s again.
