I'm installing some E32 front seats in my motor home and I just realized that the wiring on the driver's side is not nearly as straightforward as the passenger side due to the memory functions.
On the passenger side all I had to do was connect 12v to the red/yellow wire and ground the brown wire.
On the driver's side I'm totally lost. I suppose I need to trace each set of wires going to each motor, but maybe someone here has tips for me on which wires do what and how to proceed.
By the way, we are three Bimmer family, see this pic:

I have wrenched on vehicles with:

Maybe.....if you find the plus and minus pins going into the SMM control unit, you might be able to move the seat without the memory function, SMM info here http://www.e38.org/e32/BMW_pdfs/
for the wires you have to check the ETM of the built year the seat came off. https://shark.armchair.mb.ca/~dave/BMW/e32/

Thanks for that info shogun, but I have already removed the original harness and I will replace it with the harness and switch from a passenger seat from the local breakers. I will post any details in case anyone else wants to put E32 seats in a motor home, go kart, etc... ;-)
