2008 535i Random Overheating

My water pump works Ive seen it flow but im getting 2E83/85. It gets to a point where coolant light turns red, I pull over and within two minutes its fine an like nothing ever happened. I can continue driving the rest of the day perfectly fine. Ive bled the air out and it has adequate amount of coolant. This did start happening after I changed my battery, Im not sure if its a coincidence or something else is at play. Is there something like the power distribution box such as in the E90's?

Disregard, spoke to previous owner and turns out they used eBay water pump
