Hi all,
I used to post here with a different user name, but it stopped working. Anyway, this is my second e38. I have a 1999 740i M-Sport, and I am having the ABS BRAKE DSC light thing. I have an iCarsoft scanner and it gave me a couple of odd readings. On the ABS system fault codes, I get: "Pressure Sensor, line" and "Brake-light switch, plausibility."
Does anyone have any wisdom to impart? My last 740 had the trifecta but someone ran into me and totaled it before I could solve it. I do, however, have an ABS module(used but working from a 2000 e38) that I bought to put into the last car if I need it.
I have seen many of the posts about this, but I was wondering if this readout is something I should ignore or explore. Thanks for any help.

Other than the codes what are the physical symptoms if any?
Curious, if you were sitting at a light and it was real hot out? The ABS module can be rebuilt as you are probably aware. If there were no other symptoms. Give us more info. ALso if you take a different ABS module, I have heard that you have to get it programmed. Have the one you have rebuilt. But here is what I did and it seems to work so far...

Thanks Timm
Timm, will the ABS unit I have from a 2000 e38 work in my 1999 if I get it recoded?
I replace my pressure switch problem solve fault did not return
Just wanted to post back with my update. Sorry to kind of hi-jack, maybe it's helpful to someone else or even OP.
I had the text book symptoms as Timm describes in his section 2 of the link he posted above. The pic is a screenshot from INPA of the only code i had.
I went to the junkyard today and pulled 2 pumps, one from a 2001 e38 and the other from an 2004 e65. The e38 junkyard pump was DOA, as was mine. Applied 12V and nada. But the e65 pump worked and is now installed in my e38 and so far, no Trifecta!! Took all of about 15-20 min to R&R. One problem down, about 7 more to go! Big thanks to Timm for his website with all sorts of BMW content.

After trying many different things, I finally sent my ABS module to Module Master for a rebuild. Hopefully I'm not being premature, but it's been a few days and I have no ABS, Brake, DSC, or any other error codes on. They were coming on every single ride before the rebuild, usually within minutes.
