So i just bought a 1993 318is a couple days ago and drove it a hour back to my house after picking it up. I parked it in my garage and go to start it and it doesnt crank at all. It has a new battery, i tested the starter and that works just fine. I did some research and saw that these cars tend to have problems with the EWS. But i also saw that the 1993 model year didnt have EWS. Does anyone know what it could be?
Never mind. I jumped the starter which started the engine so would that mean it’s a starter issue?
More likely it is the ignition switch.
