M54 Oil Leak

I have replaced the oil filter housing gasket, then went back in and replaced the oil filter housing. Still leaking from the same general area. What else is a potential leak on the front, left side of the engine? The VANOS oil line? I had one leak on an M50, but I have not heard that the M54 has the same issue. Also, power steering hoses? It doesn't LOOK like power steering fluid, but I'm willing to entertain this diagnosis. It's difficult to see around the front diff, so the question is, what specific areas can I focus on in my search for the source of the leak?

Power steering hoses near by also what type of gaskets did you use factory or aftermarket? Always replace the vanos hose and did you use the correct size banjo bolt sealing washers

I just did this job too. I think the oil leak is way smaller, but not 100% sure I eliminated it. Did you re-use the bolts? They're pretty skinny, and while they're not heavily torqued, they don't seem very beefy.

I also replace the PS reservoir and lines - they were a big contributor of oily crap to the equation.
