Hi all,
The E85 topic is very mixed in terms of information, and my specific question is hard to find an answer to.
I currently run an E50 tune & mix whenever I fuel up. E85 + 98RON (Australia). In my 2011 N55 DCT 135i coupe.
During logs I am getting some signs my HPFP is probably on its way out. The current fuel system is 100% stock.
----
I would like to run 100% E85 for simplicitys sake, as my nearest fuel station has race grade E85, with gauranteed 85% ethanol fuel year round. I am not worried about the extra fuel consumption or negligible net powergains over an E50 mix.
----
My question is, would an upgraded HPFP on its own be sufficient to fuel the car with a stock turbo on 100% E85? Or do I need to have both LPFP & HPFP upgraded?
Thank you for your help.

May be too technical for this group. I have a guy who does BMW custom tuning I can ask. May a few days before I talk to him. No guarantees. From my experience, dealing with builds and similar issues, replace both. Better to do now and have known quantities, than to have LPFP fail. Cost is cheap, relative to failure and E85 is harsh, so no chance risking an older unit.
Will try to post back if my guy responds.
