I have a 2014 M235i and have a serious no start problem. The car cranks, obvious smell of fuel but wont start. I've have diagnostics run on it and the only fault code it is throwing up is the ambient air filter.
Has anyone had similar problems or could be me an idea where to start with trying to get it to start?
Appreciate any guidance.
Do you have spark? Any codes in the CAS? What are you using to read codes? If you have a good BMW specific diagnostic scan tool, you should be able to read low side and high side fuel pressures. Low side should be 5 bar, high side (as I recall) should start about 120 bar, and fall fairly quickly to 50 bar after starting.
It might also be that the engine is actually flooded, but the place to start is by reading live data.

No spark, no fault codes to suggest no spark. Very strange. It wants to start and there is cranking but it doesn't run. It has been checked on Bosch diagnostics by local independent. Currently sitting on my drive so any help would be wonderful.
Was any work done on the car lately
Does the tachometer needle move when trying start the engine. What tool are you using to scan the car? How did you check for spark? Can you smell gas?
