Does anyone change the shift knob OEM for the Led one ?

I want to do the change for this one in my Z4 E85 2007

Want to know if the installation is like plug and play or something difficult ?

and if the leds in the console/trim of the OEM shift still working with this one or not ?

I swapped my non LED shift knob for the M5's LED knob several years ago. It was plug and play. Does your car have a lighted knob now? If so the wire should just swap to the new LED version.
