Interesting Qualy, with Max on front row. Some form of carnage is inevitable at turn 2.

The Thug Vettel causing chaos with the red flag. Again spinning like a fool and almost taking Leclerc with him. Racing point will regret this signing for sure.

Bottas finally wins after season opener.

HAM needs to be careful on the penalties, two more points and he sits out a race. Communication failure with team? Did they not know the race director rules for this race? Shouldnt have happened twice. Anyway, still podium finish.

Nice work by Checo and Leclerc.

Now that i heard Toto, and his conversation with the stewards, the penalty seems weird. The race director rules werent very clear. Anyway, i dont think they can appeal a time penalty, but maybe they can file a grievance with the World Motor Sport Council about the penalty points

Now the FIA has dropped the penalty points. Damn clowns. They messed up the race result.

No they didn't. It was obvious that the team messed up when they gave Lewis the incorrect info. So the Mercedes car and team got the 5 second penalties. When they found out the team told Lewis it was ok to do a practice start where he did they pulled the points against LEWIS' license, not the Mercedes team. All makes sense to me.

Funny how Bottas said F*** the haters when it took a 10 second penalty against his teammate to get a win.

Yeah funny how he thinks this was anything other than a case of bad luck for Hamilton. He had the chance into turn 2 to pass, get his elbows out and make it stick. He was Mr. nice guy again and Hamilton took it right back.

ETA: Oh it was a massive bee that held him back.

What happened with Albon? Was he just unable to manage the tires?

Yes, i'm aware they pulled the points on his license. Teams dont accrue penalty points, they may be docked constructor points or fined, which they were. My view was that the fine was the penalty and the time penalty on Lewis was unnecessary.

As a racer, he should know where to do the practice starts. He did it anyway, time penalty is right on my view. Same way all other teams have been penalized.
If the teams tell him to drive backwards into the pits and he does, he would get the black flag. Even if the team later says they told him to do it.
