    m3 body harness

Hello! Im about to buy a m3 e36 3.0 but the wire harness inside the car have been cut and some parts removed. Is all body harnesses the same? Can i buy a donor car like a 318/320 and just plug and play?

    Regards Johan

    No.

But it depends what your missing.
Modules and options changed many times across all e36 models and body styles.
The harnesses from the driver footwell back through the car will generally be the same minus power seat options.
The harness from the modules and general module in the passenger side of the dash over to the driver side is module style specific on the options list of the specific car.
If it's anything in the engine bay past the fuse box, that's engine and dme specific harness wise and can be swapped fairly easy.
